Certification & Accreditation
In addition to being the nation's leader in controlled environment testing, certification and calibration services, our organization operates under a unified Quality Management System governing all business units. All areas are expected to comply with ISO 9001, with some select areas certified by 3rd party organizations.
- Field services and operations for testing, calibration, validation, and certification services, and select service lines certified to ISO 9001:2015 as defined in certificate scopes.
- Metrology systems and accredited calibration services are recognized by NIST’s accreditation body, National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), as meeting the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Accredited calibrations follow all ISO/IEC 17025 process requirements including uncertainty calculations and add the NVLAP logo.
- Microbiology and chemical analysis laboratories are accredited by ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) and manifests ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation and ISO 9001:2015 certified laboratory services.

NSF Accreditation
Field Service Technicians certifying Biosafety Cabinets are trained on NSF/ANSI 49. TSS maintains an ongoing training program to assure our field technicians can meet this level of proficiency and be accredited. This is why TSS has more NSF Accredited field service technicians than any other organization in the world. For additional information please visit the NSF website.
Additional Licensing and Affiliations
- TSS maintains staff members on several of the IEST Contamination Control Working Groups. These groups write and review cleanroom standards, including IEST-RP-CC006. For additional information, visit www.iest.org

Technician Training
Technical Safety Services has established the TSS Training Institute to ensure the maintenance of our high quality standards and premier client services. Through this Institute, TSS provides extensive training and experience in the practices and test procedures established by ISO, NEBB, NSF, and IEST, as well as TSS' own Standard Operating Procedures. As a result, all TSS technicians are highly trained professionals that specialize in providing total system service and support.
